Informed users protected $80M+ USDT before the block.
Early warning gives a window of several hours — enough to move funds, dispute an erroneous block, or document a counterparty before the USDT is frozen.
Live stream — latest events
USDT blacklist history — by chain, type & period.
22,553+ events since USDT launch. Each chart has its own filters — set the period, chain, and granularity for your scenario.
Events — on-chain transactions (preban / ban / unban / destroy). Addresses — unique wallets. The same address may go through multiple events during its lifecycle, so events always outnumber addresses.
Event frequency
How many preban / ban / destroy / unban occurred in each period
Amounts in motion
How much USDT was frozen / destroyed / unfrozen in each period
Preban → ban reaction window
How many hours pass between the early warning and the block execution. Median — typical case; mean — accounting for long tails; P90 — worst "normal" case.
Escaped funds (preban → ban)
Difference between balance at the preban alert and balance when the ban executed — what slipped away during the signing window.
Time patterns — when Tether acts most
Distribution of events by weekday (ISO) and UTC hour. Switch type — preban / ban / unban / destroy — they have different patterns.
USDT blocks arrive suddenly — and afterwards $1.2B has already burned irreversibly.
Frozen on addresses
USDT on ETH + TRON, 9,735 addresses. Assets remain but cannot move — isBlackListed == true.
Full destruction of funds
Zeroed by Tether's decision — links to OFAC / sanctions / fraud. Cannot be recovered.
Median preban → ban
Time between the early warning and the actual block execution. In this window you can move USDT, dispute an error, or document a counterparty.
Full history
Events since USDT deployment (2017-11). Cross-checked with on-chain via QuickNode archive — zero gaps.
How we catch the signal
From Tether's intent to block an address to the actual freeze, hours pass. We detect it at the earliest stage.
Early detection
We monitor on-chain in real time. When an address enters Tether's block queue, we capture the signal before the freeze actually executes.
Intent verification
We confirm the chain and address, capture the balance at the time of the signal, and deduplicate against known events. Only confirmed signals reach the channel.

FAQ — common questions
Didn't find the answer? Reach out via support, Telegram, or GitHub Issues.
How reliable is the preban signal?
Every preban is a real on-chain event — we don't interpret it, we record it. There are no false positives: either the event is on the chain, or it isn't.
Does preban ever get cancelled?
Yes. Historically about 3–5%. If no block happens within 7 days of the alert, we mark it as «expired».
What's the typical preban → ban window?
Median 4–18 hours. 90th percentile — 48 hours. OFAC cases close fastest (often <1h). Slowest are erroneous blocks that get reversed later.
What about other stablecoins — USDC, DAI?
USDT only for now. USDC and DAI have a fundamentally different centralized-approval architecture, so our early detection doesn't transfer directly. Each issuer needs separate work.
Is the API paid?
No, the public REST API is free at api.cryptoalert.report with an IP-based rate limit (60 req/min). Premium gets a personal key without a rate limit and access to the preban endpoint.
Where does the data live and who has access?
Postgres on our VPS (EU). Premium users' watchlist addresses are encrypted at rest. Enterprise — your on-prem, we don't see addresses at all. Details in the Security whitepaper.
